UV – 3000K
The High Light “UV” board is a true full-spectrum LED grow light. With output from 400nm to 800nm, it is one of the only horticultural LED panels with significant UV and Far Red light on a single channel (one driver).
It is not only one of the most efficient in its class, it has a very high Colour Rendering Index (CRI94).
This means the LED board shows plants in a “truer” light than other grow lights which makes it easier to spot nutrient deficiencies and other issues.
The large LED array with 450 efficient mid-power LEDs gives a very even spread of ligh with excellent heat management not found in other horticultural LED boards or strips. Each board can run at 135-150W without a heatsink, or 225W with a heatsink.
The 2:1 ratio means boards can be mounted side-by-side to form a perfect square, or end-to-end for vertical lighting systems – see How Many Boards?
The addition of the Sunlike CRI 95 LED with its 415nm “UV pump” not only makes this a true full-spectrum board, it provides a small amount of UVA and a noticeable amount of near-UV (400nm-430nm) not found in common “blue pump” LEDs and other single-channel boards.
The small amount of UV can run continuously during growth or bloom, and produces a mild stress response in the plant which stimulates essential oils (terpenes) and active ingredients. Yield studies, terpene and THC tests have confirmed this.
Nichia’s Optisolis 2700K LED adds a significant amount of Red (600-650nm), Deep Red (650-700nm) and Far Red (700+nm) light to the board that boosts yields and reduces flowering times.
The final part of this three-LED board is Nichia’s 757 V3-F1 series – one of the most efficient LEDs on the market. We chose CRI90 2700K diodes for their added red and quantum efficiency (2.75umol/j at 55% efficiency). They power 70% of the board and lift these boards to an overall efficiency of 2.47 umol/j at 1.5A.
These LED boards have a high Yield Photon Flux Density (YPFD) ratio to PPFD compared to other LED grow lights and can be used for growth and bloom. They excell at fruiting and flowering with high amounts of Red, Far Red and UV spectra targetting yield, flavonoids and essential oil production.
