With a new Gen3 spectrum and IP67 dimmable 400W driver, the High Light 420 Longboard covers almost any sized grow with the most efficient “true” full spectrum on the market.

Each slim-line, fully water-poof fixture can be hung individually, in pairs, or in rows to cover larger areas.

Ideal for greenhouses, large rooms, and longer grow spaces.

For grow tents and square rooms, we recommend hanging two Longboards side-by-side over every 1.2m x 1.2m or 1.5m x 1.5m area to outperform any HPS, CMH or LED “bar light” – providing a better spectrum and more complete canopy coverage for better yields and quality.

3D Canopy
Plants are three-dimensional, meaning canopy penetration is just as important as even coverage. Longboards deliver better light penetration because they can be hung at different heights to illuminate shorter and taller plants at the same time. They can also be tilted up to 5 degrees (or more) towards the middle of the canopy to reduce wall losses and provide better side-lighting.

Longboards not only provide the most flexible hanging options, they have one of the best plant spectra on the market. Designed and manufactured by Grow Lights Australia and LED Teknik in Australia, these quality fixtures have enhanced UVA and Far Red light proven in grow rooms and greenhouses around the world to produce outstanding quality with faster fruiting and flowering times.

Colour Temperature
The latest Gen3 spectrum has a CCT of 2900-3000K and high CRI95, making it very close to natural sunlight. We have found this to be the best alround spectrum for general growth, fruiting and flowering of most species, including ornamentals, shade plants and tropical varieties.

Deep Red and Far Red light are the keys to rapid growth as they enhance the Emerson Effect and produce larger leaves that absorb more light. They also accelerate the fruiting and flowering cycle. The addition of UVA promotes essential oils and prevents excessive stretch – meaning these lights are perfect for all stages of growth.

High Light 420 fixtures are amongst the best in the world, covering the entire PAR+ spectrum from 390-780nm at up to 3.19 umol/j LED efficiency and up to 2.7 umol/j system efficiency.

Drivers
All High Light LED fixtures now feature an exclusive IP67 driver from uPowerTek with a fully waterproof digital dimmer that comes with an 8-year warranty! These drivers are custom-made for Grow Lights Australia and are the only LED power supplies on the market with waterproof dimmers. They are just as efficient and reliable as the previous Mean Well drivers (which are still available as an option – please ask).

We recommend mounting drivers remotely with the supplied 4.5m water-proof cable to reduce heat build-up in the LED panels and grow room (heat reduces LED efficiency), but they can also be mounted on top of the heatsink with an optional mounting bracket.

Wattage
LED technology continues to evolve, but the new uPowerTek 400W driver (drawing up to 420W from the wall) perfectly fills the gap between the previous 320W and 480W drivers, running at 80-100% (320-400W) to cover most popular grow tent sizes.

The following guidelines will suit most tropical plants. For shade plants, leafy greens and lower-light species, these wattages can be halved:

1.2m x 0.6m = 240-320W (one fixture 60-80% dimmed)
1.5m x 0.8m = 320-400W (one fixture 80-100% dimmed)
1.2m x 1.2m = 480-640W (two fixtures 60-80% dimmed)
1.5m x 1.5m = 640-800W (two fixtures 80-100% dimmed)
