From July 1, GLA has stopped trading

To our loyal customers, it’s been a blast but all good things come to an end. Warranty repairs will continue to be honoured, and we can be contacted at the same email address info@growlightsaustralia.com or phone number 0492 025 251.

The website will remain up for the foreseeable future, and products will continue to be displayed, but the online shopping function has now been disabled.

We still have a number of DIY items for private sale, including Buddies, LED Strip lighting and heatsinks, so if you are interested in any of these items please contact us and we can arrange purchase.

We will continue to answer technical questions and offer advise for existing customers, so if you have a queries, please email or phone and we will definitely get back to you.

As one of the first commercial LED grow light companies (2018) and the only Australian designer and local manufacturer for most of out trading life, we introduced growers to the most efficient “true” full PAR spectrum lights on the market.

The proof was in the growing, with many of our sales being return business from happy growers.

Unfortunately, doing business in Australia is tough. Labour costs, machining and overheads are high. Manufacturing of raw and finished material is limited. Pressure from cheap Chinese imports is constant. There just wasn’t a viable way to progress to the next generation of designs without moving manufacturing offshore where it was more efficient.

Coupled to this were cheap medicinal cannabis imports that hurt licensed Australian growers and directly impacted our bulk sale of lights and ongoing business plans.

And so the decision was made to sell off existing stock and wind down the business.

It was fun while it lasted, and we met some great people over the years who we still consider good friends today. But life moves on.
