The advantage of this 840W DUAL COMBO is that each Longboard can be hung at different heights, tilted to reduce wall losses, and spaced at intervals to optimise canopy coverage no matter what your plants are doing.

The myth that bar lights provide a better canopy spread is . . . a myth.

Bar-style LED lights can only be hung as low as the tallest plant. Shorter plants miss out on optimal light, while taller plants can burn. Most bar lights can’t be adjusted, and are too close to tent walls.

PAR mapping has shown that two Longboards hung side-by-side not only provide an even canopy, they can be widely adjusted to provide true “3D” coverage (see below).

Having two independent LED fixtures with 640-800W (for the price of other 600-660W bar lights) means shorter plants can benefit from lowering one of the LED panels without burning taller plants under the other. Taller plants can also be placed to grow through the middle of each tilted panel to benefit from side-lighting.

This is the flexibility Longboards are renowned for, and just one of the secrets to why they outperform other LED grow lights.

With a new Gen3 spectrum and fully water-proof, dimmable 400W driver (up to 420W total power draw), this ultimate tent-filler provides up to 840W of “true” full spectrum (390-780nm) LED light for an even better price!

Each slim-line fixture can be hung individually, in pairs, or in rows to cover larger areas.

We recommend hanging two Longboards side-by-side in a 1.2m x 1.2m tent with the drivers set at 60-80% each for up to 640W (at the LEDs), and 80-100% for up to 800W in a 1.5m x 1.5m tent.

3D Canopy
Plants are three-dimensional, meaning canopy penetration is just as important as even coverage. Longboards deliver better light penetration because they can be hung at different heights to illuminate shorter and taller plants at the same time. They can also be tilted up to 5 degrees (or more) towards the middle of the canopy to reduce wall losses and provide better side-lighting.
