400W Quad with Q100+

The High Light 420 “Quad” now comes with a uPowerTek 400W driver with built-in IP67 (waterproof) dimmer – the only truly waterproof dimmer on the market.

The 320-400W Quad is the perfect shape and size for a 1m x 1m grow tent, so we have paired this bundle with the HOMEbox Q100+. We recommend the driver be set at 80% (320W) and the light hung about 50cm above the canopy initially, but tropical plants may be able to handle 400W, especially with the addition of CO2.

800W (640W recommended) Longboards + Q120+

High Light 420 Longboards offer many advantages over inferior Chinese bar lights and lose nothing to coverage (trust us – we’ve measured it!). In fact, when hung in pairs, our Longboards offer even better canopy coverage than a typical bar light.

Bar lights can only be hung as low as the highest plants, whereas two Longboards can be staggered at different heights to cover different-shaped plants. Longboards can also be tilted up to 5 degrees towards the centre of the grow to increase light and reduce reflective wall losses (a common issue with bar lights that almost touch the walls and lose some of their light to reflection).

Most bar lights can’t touch our Longboards for efficiency and spectrum, so when paired with a quality 1.2m x 1.2m grow tent such as HOMEBoxe’s Q120+ the yield potential is huge!

Each Longboard now comes with a uPowerTek 400W driver with built-in IP67 (waterproof) dimmer – the only truly waterproof dimmer on the market.

For this 1.2m x 1.2m bundle, we recommend both drivers be set at 80% (320W + 320W = 640W total) with each light at around 45-50cm above the canopy and tilted up to 5 degrees in towards the middle. This is normally the ideal setting for tropical plants, but the drivers can be maxed out at 400W (800W total) if you are using bottled CO2.

800W Longboards + Q150+

The yield potential from this 1.5m x 1.5m bundle is right up there, with two High Light 420 Longboards and 800W total. We recommend both drivers be set at 100% with each light around 50cm above the canopy and tilted up to 5 degrees in towards the middle. This will provide the ideal amount of light for tropical plants without the addition of bottled CO2 (but there is also a 1000W option, just ask).
